Unmatched Interference Rejection
RF interference is the number one cause of failsafe in FPV flying-Whether it's the dense Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals in urban environments, or other interferences. GemX solves this fundamentally by receiving on two physically separated bands simultaneously. When one band experiences interference, the other is almost certainly clean. Two independent transmit/receive chains working simultaneously deliver significantly superior Link Quality (LQ) compared to conventional systems. As the official documentation states: "Gemini is an obvious choice for these environments when every packet counts."

Dual-Band, Dual-Path: Double Assurance
The receiver features dual LR1121 RF chips and supports three operating modes:
- 900M Gemini: Dual-channel 900MHz reception for long-range penetration
- 2.4G Gemini: Dual-channel 2.4GHz reception for ultra-low latency
- 900M+2.4G GemX: Simultaneous dual-band reception – the best of both worlds
The included dual-band T antennas eliminate frequency-switching hassles. Advanced diversity processing ensures rock-solid stability in RF-challenged environments. The transmitter sends identical packets simultaneously on both 2.4GHz and 900MHz – the receiver only needs to successfully capture one – dramatically increasing packet reception success rates.

Australia・Theodore"The receiver binds and flies with a solid LQ that basically never goes below 100. The OSD shows the correct 5:100 for the X150 packet rate. This is the most reliable RF link you can get on an ELRS system right now, period."
-
Canada・William"Behind a single concrete wall at 200m, 2.4GHz dropped to LQ 20% while 900MHz held LQ 90%. That's the real value of Gemini X - not raw distance, but the ability to keep your link solid in interference-heavy environments."
-
Turkey・Ahmet"For professional work around crowds and events, Gemini Xrossband is irreplaceable. Both bands work simultaneously - if 2.4GHz gets hit with interference, 900MHz picks up the slack. If 900MHz is getting weird, 2.4 is there. You never have to worry about dropping packets during critical flights."
-
Egypt・Omar"I've been flying this dual-band receiver for three months across long-range wings and 5-inch freestyle quads. When it works, your link goes from 'I hope I don't failsafe behind that tree' to 'the signal dipped for 80 milliseconds and recovered.' When it doesn't work, it's because the antennas are touching."
-
Lran・Reza"Whether you're flying freestyle, long range, or doing professional work around crowds and events – this little receiver packs two complete, independent transmitters inside a single board. Two Semtech LR1121 RF chips. Two antennas. And both of those antennas are dual-band, handling 2.4GHz and 900MHz without swapping anything. If 2.4GHz gets hit with interference, 900MHz picks up the slack. If 900MHz is getting weird, 2.4 is there. This is the most reliable RF link you can get on an ELRS system right now, period."

FAQ
What is Gemini Xrossband (GemX)?
Gemini Xrossband (GemX) is an advanced ExpressLRS technology that enables the receiver to receive signals simultaneously on both 2.4GHz and 900MHz bands. 2.4GHz delivers ultra-low latency while 900MHz provides powerful penetration – together forming a seamless, redundant control link. GemX receivers feature dual Semtech LR1121 3rd-generation RF chips and intelligently switch between bands based on link quality.
What operating modes does the receiver support?
The GemX receiver supports three operating modes:
- 900M Gemini: Dual-channel 900MHz reception for long-range penetration
- 2.4G Gemini: Dual-channel 2.4GHz reception for ultra-low latency
- 900M+2.4G GemX: Simultaneous dual-band reception – the best of both worlds
Important: To enable full Gemini Xrossband dual-band performance, the transmitter packet rate must be set to one of the X modes (e.g., X150, X100, etc.). Using non-X packet rates such as D mode will not be accepted by the Gemini receiver.
What flight controller protocols does the receiver support?
The receiver supports multiple serial output protocols, including CRSF, SBUS, SUMD, DJI RS2 Pro, and MAVLink. CRSF protocol is recommended for optimal performance.
To configure in Betaflight:
Ports tab: Enable Serial RX on the UART where the receiver is connected.
Configuration tab: Set Receiver Mode to Serial-based receiver and Serial Receiver Provider to CRSF.
What is the difference between GemX and a regular dual-band receiver?
A regular dual-band receiver only allows manual switching between 2.4GHz and 900MHz. The GemX receiver features two independent LR1121 RF chips capable of receiving on both bands simultaneously, with automatic intelligent switching based on link quality thresholds. When 2.4GHz signal drops due to interference or obstruction, the receiver automatically switches to the 900MHz link; when 900MHz signal is compromised, 2.4GHz takes over immediately. This is true dual-band redundancy, not simple band selection.
Can the receiver be used as a transmitter module?
