Cleaning the Flying Bore

After each flight, the drone's fuselage often accumulates dust, dirt, and other grime. Use a clean, damp cloth or a dedicated cleaning tool to gently wipe the surface. For hard-to-reach areas like crevices and corners, a brush can be used. Be careful to avoid getting water inside the drone's electronic components.

Propeller Maintenance

Re-inspect the propellers after flight. If there are minor scratches, use fine sandpaper to smooth the surface. If the wear is severe, replace the propellers immediately to prevent flight imbalance and other malfunctions. Disassemble the propellers and store them properly, avoiding pressure or impact to prevent deformation.

Battery Maintenance

After flight, allow the battery to cool naturally in a well-ventilated environment for a period of time before charging. Avoid charging the battery at high temperatures, as this will affect battery life and performance. Also, as DJI recommends, perform deep charge/discharge cycles periodically (generally every few months) to help maintain the battery's good condition, but avoid excessive frequency to prevent damage. When not using the drone for extended periods, charge the battery to a suitable level (usually around 40%-60%) before storing it. Perform a charge-discharge maintenance on the battery periodically (e.g., once a month) to prevent over-discharge damage.

Data Backup and Storage

Promptly back up photos, videos, and other data taken during flight to a computer or external hard drive to avoid data loss due to drone memory card malfunction. Store the drone in a dry, cool, and safe place, preferably using the original carrying case, to better protect it from external environmental factors such as moisture and impacts.
