Core Frequency Bands for FPV Drones
FPV drones primarily use the 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz frequency bands for signal transmission, much like a Wi-Fi router selecting a channel. The 5.8GHz band provides smoother image transmission, suitable for high-definition FPV flight; the 2.4GHz band has stronger penetration, suitable for complex environments. Some devices also support the 900MHz band, enabling stable connections at greater distances.
Control Distance Fluctuation
The control distance of FPV drones typically fluctuates between 1 and 10 kilometers, much like the varying strength of a mobile phone signal. In open areas, using a high-gain antenna, distances can reach over 8 kilometers, while in urban environments, this may be reduced to 1-2 kilometers. Under interference-free conditions, the ideal transmission distance for 5.8GHz devices is approximately 3-5 kilometers.
